About the Podiatrist

Mary Maryanovsky completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Monash University specialising in human anatomy and physiology. She furthered her studies by being the first student in Victoria to graduate with a degree in Masters of Podiatric Practice.

Mary is an experienced practitioner across all aspects of General and Sports Podiatry. She has a special interest in the field of injury prevention, treatment and performance enhancement. Mary takes a holistic total body approach to assessment and management, enabling a higher level of examination and detailed rehabilitation programming. More specifically the source of the pain or dysfunction will be identified and corrected.

Mary’s own extensive athletic experience provides her with a unique perspective on treating injuries. She has been in your shoes and is committed to helping you recover safely from injury. Providing the highest quality of patient care, comprehensive examination and treatment, and using the latest advanced technology Mary will ensure you return to your daily activities or sport quickly and reduce the risk of injury in the future.

With over eleven years in the fitness industry, Mary has dedicated her career towards studying postural alignment and human movement in relation to foot strength and foot posture. Mary is very passionate about the feet as the foundation of the body and how they affect the entire body structure. With the feet making up a quarter of all bones in the human body they are paramount to postural balance and function.

Mary continues to be at the forefront of advances in the Podiatry field having gained extensive training and experience in the United States and Europe.

Mary is the first Podiatrist in the country trained as a Barefoot Training Specialist and Amino Neuro Frequency Therapist. This enables Mary to bring to her client’s revolutionary treatment options.

Tess Hosken
Master of Podiatric Practice & Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science

Tess completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science where she developed a sound knowledge in exercise  programming and biomechanics. She decided to further her study and specialise in the lower limb and foot by studying a Masters of Podiatric Practice at La Trobe university.

Tess’ love for health, sport and people drew Tess into podiatry, following her own experience with ankle and knee injuries. Her own past experience with injury ensures Tess can understand her patient’s experience of pain and the challenges of returning to full function. Currently Tess is a keen runner and has previously played a number of sports
including basketball, tennis, soccer, netball, hockey and footy. She understands the movement patterns and injuries associated with these sports and enjoys working with athletes of all levels.

Tess is experienced in general podiatry with a special interest in sports and children’s podiatry, working in private practise and shoe retailers rebel sport and the athletes foot. As a podiatry consultant for rebel sport she is well versed in gait analysis and providing quality footwear recommendations.

She is enthusiastic about continued learning and keeps to up to date on the latest research on musculoskeletal injuries and treatments. She has completed a Dry needling course to incorporate into the treatment of foot pathologies including plantar heel pain.
Tess has a passion for holistic care in helping people of all ages to achieve optimal function
and lower limb health.
